Is there anyone in the tampabay area who will let me take measurements off their C-22 trailer. I have a 74 swing keel and I am looking to modify a trailer to fit, Hopefully before any storms come our way Thanks.!.!
I contacted The catalina company directly and ask for the shop. They were nice enough to fax me a drawing of the cradle they use in the plant to move the hulls around. I then took that to a welder with the trailer that i wanted to modify and it worked out well. The only problem was that The bunks were about 10 inches too high. That is that the bottom of the keel had drop down 10 inches to sit on the trailer for transport. so once the boat was home I had to lift the boat off the trailer and then I cut the bunks down with a sawzall. When I set the boat back on it was perfect. I happen to have the means to lift the boat off but I could have set it back in the water and then change the bunks. It cost me $350.00 for the welding shop work. I hope this helps.
