Make me happy ! Last long road trip last season I managed to shear off the zerk flush with the spindle — to complicate things the passenger side hub has been holding a smidge of water making constant attention a necessity.
Managed to drill out the pressed in (boo) zerk, tap the tiny m6 hole and thread in a new zerk without breaking anything.
Also be the best money ever spent : lock n lube grease gun extension — granted it shouldn’t be the hard with a standard gun — but I did manage to shear one off— never again. This thing is a champ, hold the lever off and on the fitting with ease.
Both hubs greased and the water problem is also solved — turned out to be a torn plug in the end cap, no brainer I have spares.
Tomorrow we tune the rig.
