We had a wonderful sail in light air and warm sunshine across Penobscot Bay to Cabot Cove on North Haven Island. With the few cottages on the shore closed up for the winter, and no boats in the water, we had the cove to ourselves for a day and a night. We burned quite a few tiny hardwood logs in the old fireplace that kept us very warm.
Rowing the perimeter of the sleepy cove, we came on this end of the season picture.
Early the next morning we had our first company, 3 Guillimots in their winter plumage just off our bow.
