Tension sheet pullys

Hello,
Does anyone know how to tension the bolts on the pullys at the base of the mast, nothing can fit in under the pullys to tension them. I have now had a number of them come loose, you can see this in the photos, any help would be great thanks!

The block in your second photo looks as if the stud has broken off. If so, the block will need to be replaced. To tighten the block at the mast base, the simple way is to remove the line from the block, stick the blade of a screwdriver under the die casting at the mast base to prevent the nut from turning, then turn the block to tighten. If you have to slide a new nut into one of the openings, just tape it to a thin blade and slip it in. Use the blade to center it in the hole and hold position while threading in the stud. It should be a five minute task.
