Due to an accident involving mast and pole, I have to remove the tabernacle and try to pound it back in shape or replace it. It’s the original for the boat. My question is . I see one bolt with a washer and nut inside the cabin but the other two bolts appear to be in the wood support in under the tabernacle inside the cabin. When I take the rachet to these two, they just turn and do not back out. are these to bolts somehow attached to the wood inside somewhere?

Are you sure they arent through bolted? A pic of the underside would help

Try getting something under the head such as a metal paint scraper, pry bar or my favorite, a body panel remover.Push against the threads and/or pull upwards while turning it. I suggest using cordless drill with socket

On my Mac 22, all three are machine bolts that straddle the wooden support post in a triangle. Interestingly, two of the three lack nuts and behave just like yours. But my boat is 47 years old. There may have been nuts there when it left the factory.
