I am enrolled in the Coast Guard License course, final exam on Monday. I asked this question to the instructor regarding day shapes in general as I've never seen them for sale anywhere. He told me there is a place at point judith rhode island that sells them to fishing and commercial vessels. I don't know the name so go to point judith and ask. The loophole is that most of these items are optional on vessels smaller than a certain length (like typical cruising boats) and thus are only available at commercial equipment supply places. don't bother with west or boatus or defender!!!
