Hello, I'm interested in buying a Y-29. I think it's a very unusual design with lots of living/sleeping space in such a small hull. My main concern is the seaworthines of this kind of ship and her behaviour in rough weather conditions, is it stable or does it feel like riding a very angry bull? I learned it weighs (only) 2.900 Kg with the keel weighing aprox. 1.500Kg? (am I right?) Any kind of information is highly appreciated. Greetings, Nanno.

6000 pounds is on the light side

for a 29 foot boat. There are boats that size that weigh in at 18000. So your question about seaworthiness has to cover a lot of questions. Can it survive a serious storm? Probably. Will it beat you up in the process? Probably. Do you plan to go in harms way? ________________ fill in the blank. There is saeworthiness and seakindliness. They are not the same. Others may have first hand experience with Yamaha boats, I don't.
