Sailing in Ontario waters

We would like to sail the North Channel in Lake Huron with our Catalina 22, but find they require a MSD head. We were planning to use a porta-potty, but they are not legal. Anyone have any experience with alternatives? Has anyone mounted a legal MSD on a Catalina 22?
Thanks

You can buy MSD versions of portapotties. Depending on which model you have, you can convert it by buying the parts to allow pumping out the tank through a deck fitting instead of carrying the tank.

There are threads here that discuss that. 5 gal portapotties would work best.

That said, the link @Hunter216 posted, states: "Transport Canada has ruled that porta-potties and composting toilets can qualify as "temporary storage devices" as long as the vessel is less than 15 gross tons and carries fewer than 15 people."

I figure a c22 fits in that category.:D

Where is the info that Lake Huron is different ?
