My S2 8.5 uses the toe rail to attach the turning block for the jib sheet from the clew. I'm thinking of installing an inboard track so I can get a tighter sheeting angle. I'm not sure if it would improve pointing angle or not, since the sail already comes in to the spreader when hard on the wind. Moving the clew inboard would give the sail more curvature and draft. Any thoughts on whether it will improve pointing and performance?
Has anyone installed an inboard jib track on an 8.5/8.6?o, where did you place it and dit it improve performance?
Thanks,
Bron
