Would plastic or nylon fender washers on each side of the rudder pivot bolt inside the Rudderhead be a good option to take up slack, but not bind rudder operation?
I am in fresh water, and use stainless steel fender washers so they will last longer. Works well, takes out some of the play in the steering, and eliminates some noise. In salt water, a plastic of some kind would be good to prevent corrosion between dissimilar metals if in the water a long time.
