Anyone with a Pearson 26 or 30 have any ideas on how to inspect the aluminum rudderpost without lifting the boat up on a crane and dropping the rudder. My boat was a fresh water boat for the first 26 years of its 32 year life. When I bought the boat the rudder was sloppy in the tube and the yard that hauled it where I bought it made a simple repair by snugging the post up with a fiberglass wrap. They said the post was all right at the time but that was 6 seasons ago. The rudder works fine no problems. But its been in salt water in New England for 6 seasons. I`d hate to wait until the rudder falls off the boat to find out thats its corroded outBob
