rolloer furler for tempest

Hello kind folks!I'm debating picking up a roller furler for my tempest. Any tempest owners out there have any recommendations? Any brands I should avoid? Any installation problems etc?I definitely appreciate all your help.thanksKevin T

Kevin -The only real downside to roller furling is for the hardcore racer - you might lose a tiny bit of windward efficiency to the extrusion. In my experience, the convenience more than makes up for it. I've come to see the roller furler as safety equipment - it keeps people off the foredeck and in the cockpit where they belong. My boat has a CDI FF4 and it works great.Justin - O'day Owners' Web
