Purchasing a furling device...

I have an O'Day 22 and am thinking about purchasing a furling device...as a relatively new boat owner with zero experience with furling devices, what issues do I need to be concerned with? Also, what size would I require? Lastly, where can I get the best deal on one of these pieces of equipment? Thanks for your help. Scott-ODay 22 "In the Mood"

CDI is OEM on ODay's. I'm pleased with mine.

I upgraded the furling system on my O272 a few years ago. The system is virtually bullet-proof. Some owners have stated that the furler is difficult to use under strain. Most are when the sails are drawing, so point up!! Seriously, though, it would be a good idea to get some comparisons from those who have installed and used other brands. As I said, personally, I have no trouble with the CDI, but my wife doesn't have the strength to furl or reef unless we are head-to-wind.
