At WYC if you place in at least one race series or sail in at least 25 races, you are awarded a trophy frame. You get to pick this picture used, UNLESS you have a memorable event caught on the club's photographer's camera. Like this Capri 25 driver, who lost not one mast, but two this year. Another got caught with a spinnaker hoisted sidewise. If you really blow it, just hope its not caught on camera!

Anyone got a funny picture of their boat from this year?

I dunno... If I had a three-masted boat I'd probably brag about it... but maybe not, as Paul Harvey says, tell "The rest of the story".

They did include an underwater shot of the diver attaching the lifting cable to the mast in the corner of their picture. They also received the "Boats that have sank at WYC" trophy. A wooden base with names of other boats that have sank over the years, been a while, in addition to a bilge pump mounted on it. Someone also gave them a small aquarium, to go with a bunch of trophy's they won this year. They do quite well in thier fleet.

Indeed, boats that lose a mast can miss weeks, the capri that SANK was racing 3 days later, didn't miss a race!

The Admiral and I are avid kayakers and when we bought the Hunter last year I explained that the new boat is gonna be a bitch to portage.

I'll give it a shot. We were heading for a sail and saw some women we knew on the Boardwalk. I waved and signaled to them to take photo with their phone. My crew decided to take off their shirts and pose, despite one not having the most photogenic body type. I was "LMAO" along with everyone eating outside at Landry's.
