Pedestal mount compass

Need to change the pedestal mount compass on a Benetau 32- it is a Plastimo 135, it has a bubble and am told it cannot be repaired. Can you tell me if the new compass has to be the exact same size to fit in the pedestal or can any size be adapted ?

Logically, any similar compass could be adapted. The Plastimo has four screws at What looks like 45, 135, 225, and 315 degrees. Otherwise, if there is a significant shoulder cast inside the pedestal, it could be drilled and tapped to accommodate any other hole pattern. Most likely, a replacement Plastimo compass would eliminate the need to do the extra work.

Others on this forum may have. A better suggestion.

We have a 1997 B 321 .Replaced pedestal mount compass when we purchased from original owner. Original compass was a Plastimo replaced with Plastimo 135 no issues simple change out (oiginal glass was sun burnt also wanted a red card instead of original black card
