My wife and I are heading to Panama City, Florida, at the end of March to get an early start to the sailing season. With google earth, I have found some great looking ramps to put in at. Does any one know of any campgrounds that are accessible for sailors for showers etc etc? Also, The fitting which attaches the boom to the mast is broken on my 1974 O'day 20 footer. Does any one know where I can get a new fitting for this? Thanks, Ted

Local

St. Andrew State Park...

is a great combination. Launch your boat right across from Shell Island and be in the middle of one of the nicest parks in the state. Close to food, restaurants, shopping, and on what we call the "quiet" end of the beach, although spring break will still be going on.

"Local" is correct the State Park has a very good ramp and LOTS of tourist! Will need to pay for a "camp site" to have access to showers. St Andrew State Park is usually reserved very far in advance, better call them and to get the latest info. I you "show up" there may not be any space.
