Brian Hofler and others,

Regret that we will not be able to come to the get-together. We will
be on a bird trip and to N.W.T.

Disappointed not to meet you good people and see the lovely Vegas.
Disappointed also not to show off Flagfish and modifications such as
mainsheet ahead of companionway.

Chuck and Laura Rose. If you sail across in Lorna Doone, you will
ride in the most beautifully re-manufactured Vega in the world. You
probably know that this is the boat that Tony Skidmore single-handed
around the world. Gene has a great boat.

By this message I note that the location of the get-together is in a
very South West corner of Canada and British Columbia. In Canada,
northwest is more likely to suggest North West Territories or North
West Passage through the arctic.

best to all, John

Enjoy
the birds and NWT John. I'm sure we will have the opportunity to meet at another
date. Of course you are correct about the location, however many individuals
refer to that area, as you know (includes San Juans etc.) as the Pacific North
West. Thanks for the comments about Lorna Doone, I have not idea about it's
history. I best get polishin' then.

Brian, sorry I can't get away from No. Idaho for the get together on the 1st of July weekend. Have fun and I'll try during the summer to reach you.

Sorry we'll miss you John.
Yes, we're excited about the possibility of seeing Lorna Doone. I followed Tony Skidmore's circumnavigation in the newsletter with great interest.

Again, sorry you can't make it to this rendezvous but I'm sure there will be other opportunities.

Aloha,

Chuck Rose

Sorry Brian. Living on the boat I don't have room to keep that sort
of stuff around so I don't have any copies of the old newsletters.
Tony's letters reporting on his trip were spread out over a few
years. Maybe someone who has saved all thier old newsletters could
put it together for us.

Aloha,

Chuck Rose
