Hanne and I produced a beautiful Blog of our 2 month journey to the Keys. It contains a lot of info if your heading down to the Keys or just want to read about all our adventures. I have not had any meat in 30 years so for me it was seafood for breakfast, lunch, and dinner ( ever have Hog Fish?) It was sunny and warm 72 -79 for two months. I met many new friends and acquaintances. I did several good paintings and got into 4 galleries in Florida. I had this constant feeling of getting healthier and healthier as the days went on. I got up early and headed out for 1-2-3 miles before it got too warm. We slept and lived on Paradox, Cat 22, for one month (Key Largo) and then rented in Feb.a small cottage on a canal in Big Pine Key. Most of our sailing was in the beautiful Gulf. We explored the world of eateries (Key Lime Pie) and have shared them on our blog. We are looking at going back next winter but no towing our boat. I have two situations available to use new friends sailboats next winter. Our Jeep put in 6,300 miles most towing Paradox with no problem (super car). Plus plus - our relationship got a lot of "glue" as we moved through our two months together... no storms below deck.... If I can be of any help for your sailing in the Keys give a click!
