O'Day23 lift

My O'Day23 is moored at my daughter's home on the Alafia River with access to Tampa Bay. We are tired of the monthly barnacle scraping and decided to install a lift on her dock. Has anyone had experience with such a lift? Good or bad. Which manufacturer has a good one? From the specs I have the 23 weighs a little over 3,000 pounds. Does anyone know if that is accurate? I don't want to put one in and find it won't lift the boat.

Larry ... According to the brochure for the 1981 O'Days 22, 23 and 25, the 23 weighs in at 3,085 lbs. (minimum trailering weight). You will have to take into account all the additional gear on the boat ... motor, batteries, etc., and then add on your personal "pucker factor."
