Ocho Rios, Jamacia

We are heading down to Ocho Rios, Jamacia in a few weeks :dance: and the resort (Riu) we are staying at mentions sailing as an activity. They do not say what type of boats they have. I'm not expecting much, but does anyone know? beach cats, daysailers, wet boats ?

It is 12 degrees here and you are going to Jamacia!!! Lucky sot.

It was -24 last weekend , not including windchill. Even if my boat was in the water it would be on the hard.
Twentyfive years of marriage, we earned it!

Im so hard up :bang: I'd sail an opti in my tub if it was big enough. Although Im not sure the bathroom fan would get 'er up to hull speed.

we stayed at negril,there was about 5 big resorts all in a row.they all had versions of hobies from 14-16 footers.jamacia was a blast just make sure you know for sure what your resort style your staying at.we went to hedo(unlimited free scuba included,and free sailing hobies)knowing it was clothing optional, as being sailors in mex we are seminudists ourselves while on the boat.however it turned out to be a swinger type place also with much open sex everywhere.nice people but all a bunch of perverts.do some research so your not surprised.

We just returned, left Jamacia at 85 degrees got home to -12. The sailing was a blast! The resort had 14 ft Hobies, fun little boats. Everytime I saw one of those poor little boats sitting on shore, I just had to take her out. The local guys would yell... "here comes sailor mon!" I highly recommend the Riu at Ocho Rios.
