Nissan 5 hp fuel leak?

I have an odd problem with my 2002 Nissan 5 hp four stroke outboard that I could use a bit of advise with. I had the engine off the boat for basic oil changes and when I started it up again there is fuel flowing from the top of the carb. area. There is such good fuel flow from that hole (almost like it's supposed to vent from there) that the engine stalls if I leave the fuel hose attached. It seems to be flooding the carb. When I remove the fuel hose the engine will run fine and the excess fuel stops pouring out of that suspect hole. The engine will run until the fuel in the system is used up. I've vented the tank and even removed the cap on the tank but no change. It appears that there is too much fuel flow and/or pressure reaching the carb. By the way, when the engine is running it runs great, strong both in gear and out. I'm suspecting there is a problem with the fuel line that is somehow creating increased pressure and flooding the system. I'd hate to run the engine to the shop for a simple fuel hose problem.
