Hi All, My name is Brian O'Toole, my wife Sue and I are the new
owners of hull #321 formely the "Lorelei" which was referred to in
prevoius messages by SaylerEd. She is in sound condition with a lot
of cosmetic work to be done. "Susie" as she is now called is located
at the U.S. Sub Base in Groton, CT. After the horrible events of last
week, security at the Sub Base dictates that I move the boat off base
by 10/27. It is a shame as the sub base marina is an excellent
facility; however I am a civilian and the rules have now changed. I
completely understand and accept the reasons for the change. It is a
small inconvenience in the light of this horrible tragedy. I have a
couple of questions: Do boat transport companies need a crane to
unload the boat? Would this require a wooden cradle? (I have
stancions now.) I have a lot of other questions but I just wanted to
introduce myself. Thanks, Brian

Hi Brian,

The local movers have hydraulic trailers. You need stands, blocking, etc.
I am moving my old C&C from Mystic to my home on Monday, so I can give you
feedback about the mover we hired out of Niantic, CT.

By the way, I am also just starting the process of renovating a Vega, hull
#2917. Let me know how you make out.

Dave
