First you have to accept the fact that should your all-in-one instrument go toes-up you'll lose ALL your instruments; depth, wind, etc...
I recently installed a Raymarine C-120 display which is capable of putting not only the chart and radar on the screen at the same time but through Seatalk modules, you can also add sailing instruments (wind, speed, depth), fishfinder, and even engine 'instruments' such as oil pressure, rpms, temp, etc...
This is a great unit if that's what you're looking for.
In my case, though, I've only 'attached' the radar to it. If the unit goes South on me it really won't affect my cruising since I still have the depth, speed, and wind on a separate navpod.
