I just bought mine with "improvements." My recommendation is NOT to install a marine head at the right forward bulkhead. It will effectively make it impossible to have a large bed in the bow. Instead, a port-a-potti, or even a marine head can be installed under one of the seats at the table area. In that way, you can still have a good sized bed, AND the table area. The table area transforms into a bed that is perfect for someone shorter than say 5'5"? I'm too tall to sleep there comfortably. Before doing any "improvements," surf the web and look at every interior picture of the smaller MacGregors you can find. Once you drill those holes and install the plumbing, it's too late to change!
