My wife and I just purchased a 1986 S2 27. We are interested in mounting a microwave oven. Anyone out there with a sugested location? Also, anyone reding that sails Erie western basin?

We used to own an S 2 8.5 meter (28 ft). the problem is that the galleys on these boats is a rea after thought. Basically just shoved into the aft corner of the main cabin. We just stored out microwave in the aft bunk when not in use, as the ft bunk is really only good for storage on most sailboats anyway. It stays put when there's tons of other stuff such as pfd's etc. holding it all place. I do miss how that S 2 would get up & go in the smallest of breezes. She's a real performer, but not much of a live aboard. Cheers.
