Mercury outboard hoses, sources

Searching for 1st sailing boat 27-28, 34-36 Channel Islands, Marina Del Rey
I am not sure how much different water and fuel hoses are for marine engines versus auto engines but I am having a tough time finding hoses for my outboard. The so called certified mercury dealer in my area could not find any and suggested I call mercury.

I am looking for the 3/8" water hoses that route water between the thermostats and fuel hoses of the same size.

Boats.net does not have detailed descriptions on these hoses. I was wondering if there is a source that I have not yet discovered?

Thanks.

There are many, many outboard motor parts sources on the internet... google "mercury outboard parts" for instance. What you really need is a service manual for your motor. So google "mercury outboard service manual" here's the ebay hit... http://www.ebay.com/bhp/mercury-outboard-service-manual scroll through and see if you can find your unit's info.

The manual will help you with the proper part description for the manual and perhaps even the exact part number. There is nothing any of us can do to help more than that without you giving us a complete description of your particular motor. Model number and series number to start, and then the exact part description you're looking for.

If the hoses aren't preformed and the routing doesn't have tight bends, automotive fuel line will work. This line will also work for water.
