We are about to buy a Bavaria 49 (2004) and need to know the tonnage listed for our mortage insurance. Does anyone know what the Tonnage (not weight) is for this boat?

I'm assuming you are talking about 'net tonnage'.

If yes and your boat is a USCG documented vessel, the number will be on the form.

If no, you can use the USCG simplified form to get a number that is close enough for the coasties!

Nope the boat is in Europe. Any previously posted number will do in this case. The insurance company will take my word but I need to be in the ballpark.

Did you look at that link I posted? That is the USCG standard way to get simplified net tonnage. They allow that number on USCG Documentation, so I think it wipeouts be good enough for your insurance.

Umm, I went to the url but it is just a form that you complete and return. It doesn't show how the calculation is made.
