Our family owned marina, which we love, may not be able to accommodate us if we move up to a 36. We checked out various marinas in Pasadena area and Middle River area. Two that seem to be higher on our list are the Maryland Yacht Club on Rock Creek off the Patapsco, and Bowleys Quarters on Middle River. We have been in both areas, so are familiar with sailing out of those points. We would like to hear why we should go to either one or avoid either one. Both had positives and negatives. Remember this is a sailing family and prefer some solitude, but love good sailing buddies.

We recently signed a contract for this season at Fairview Marina, which is next door to MYC on Rock Creek. It’s a beautifully maintained facility and very well protected. It won out for us over MYC and other marinas in Bowleys Quarters and the Inner Harbor. I’d be happy to share further thoughts on marinas in the area via private message.
