Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me? I have a customer that has given me a 2001 Hunter 140 hull. There is nothing with the boat as it was destroyed in a fire at their house. I am a custom woodworker by trade an an avid boater. I want to make a new rudder, centerboard, and mast for the boat and give it to my nephews to teach them how to sail. I have built a boat in the past and am comfortable making everything, but have no idea the dimensions of any of them. I also looked at prices for new and with having to buy new sails and a little rigging I cannot justify 475 for a rudder etc.

I couldn't find this boat on http://www.sailboatdata.com/firstpage.asp.
And on this website the 140 is listed as being first produced in 2006. Look under specifications after selecting 140 from the boat info tab.
Good Old Boat Magazine had a rudder project recently. It was overly complicated in pursuit of the goal of preventing corrosion but its worth a look over for tips.

If you want to build a wood/fiberglass version, look at the pdracer web sites. www.pdracer.info shows Michael Storer's design.
