So my keel fell off a few years ago and I decided that I would build a new one. need a new car, daughter getting married, bought house kids in university etc. I'm near completion and I'm wondering a few things: what diameter to make the hole for the pin? I'm thinking I'll use a bolt instead of a pin which is why I'm making a keel. Is using a bolt wise or is there some specific reason for using the pin?
