coax lenght?
I had similar thoughts, but ended up installing in the laz, w/ epoxy.I didnt think my hummingbird coax cable (100sx?) would reach the cockpit.... (will yours?)if the wire reaches, you could install the transducer in the forward end of the V berth. (past the water balast)... BUT this is some work.-if installing on flat plane, you are using the waterbalast... & it probably wont work... very well.first remove all the styrofoam in the v berth, then open the forward hatch. you will need to mount the transducer in the V of the hull. You will need something to immerse the transducer, say epoxy (w/ no bubbles). search archives, and you will find, pvc w/ oil, or, clay, putty, silicone, etc as the mounting conductor.this may affect drainage before the transducer...good idea, let us know if it works!
