all trailer sail boats should be rigged for singlehanded sailing
#1 there isnt enough freedeck space to be leaving the cockpit to fiddle w/the haylards while underway in anything other then 5kts less, 1ft seas to lt. chop
#2 learn to sail singlehanded, U never know when its all on U
stay in the cockpit and drive the boat
and use a good 2-3 rope clutch not cam/Jam cleats
#3 install lazy jacks, keep the main from dropping in the cockpit if U have to drop the main and motor in a channel...
I have Jacks on the Jib and the main, I use a jib boom so I can douse the sails tighten the jacks and keep the sails from blocking my view it makes motoring the boat back to dock/marina so much more enjoyable, and she looks good pulling up to the dock, all trimed up. :D
U can install the sail ties later if youd like
running all lines aft for single handed sailing IMHO should be the 1st thing added to any sail boat if not equiped already
