Knurled Knob

Can any one tell me what the Knurlded knob is that slides in the mast track? I was useing it to hold my sail up in the track and I dropped it in the drink on the last voyage last season. I need to replace it. Does any one know where I can purchase this item.Thanks,Stu

The bolt that holds the pop top up??Mine is a screw/ bolt with a black plastic knob on it... the same kind of bolt that you use for some bimini top connections.Lift up the pop top, slide the sliding thing up the mast, slightly, and put the bolt through the hole in the pop top and the sliding thing.This seems like a crazy setup to me, but that's how it works on my boat.

SORRY STAN, I MEANT TO WRITE STUART .....SMITROE BUT NOW YOU HAVE ME CURIOUS AS TO WHAT DOES LOCK MY POP TOP UP..I HAVE A 1979 MAC 23 AND AS FAR AS I KNOW , NOTHING LOCKS IT UP, I USUALY TIE IT OFF TO THE MAST AS THE TWO FORWARD PIECES OF ALUMINUM FIT INTO SLATS ON THE OVERHEAD OF THE POP TOP AND THE DECK OF THE HULL. ITS NOT A SECURE ARRANGEMENT WITHOUT SECURING IT TO SOMETHING....

I think you are looking for the item CA Guy pictured. I bought mine at a local sail shop. Keep a spare onboard too. I stow a few items like clevis pins etc that are easy to lose and ruin your sail day.

Which size?

The link that caguy posted shows three different size slugs. I'd like to order one but does anyone know what the right size is for the slot in an M26S mast?
