The scoop on Kilz.... I gutted my project boat, sanded, scrubed and rolled on two coats of Kilz on the complete interior. I used it as an undercoat. I plan to sand the kilz a bit and apply some good interior house paint for color. The idea of using the Kilz was to keep the mold and mildew from leaching through the finish coat.. Happy Sailing...

I find it hard to believe
I find it hard to believe that regular interior house paint is going to hold up against the many temp & sweating changes,,I may be wrong,,but,,

hmmmm time will tell on the Killz
I think I'd want to check back in 2 seasons to see if the killz was the right decision.. remides me of someone wanted to paint the bilge with a garage paint... but, enlighten me... if it does start to peel or chalk... then what? how are you going to fix it? --one part polyurethane is normally what I see recommended...
