hi all..... an inboard is not always as expensive as everyone here is
talking... i was given a small Yanmar one lunger and installed it myself...
with a total machine shop cost of $20.00 i was done... the engine would have
cost only $1,000.00 and the bolts cost maybe $10.00..... there are solutions
out there for a lot less if you invest some time and effort....

good luck

Hello all:

Forgive me for being more traditional but...I still maintain that the
original albin gas engine is easy to maintain, powerful enough and parts are
readily available. Unfortunately we get caught up in the need to have a
"diesel" when gas is as reliable and safe (providing the proper procedures
are followed). When you consider that the cost of repowering with a new
engine may cost as much as the vessel itself....Just food for thought.
On another note...the weather report looks good for the rendezvous...see you
all on the weekend.

Cheers
