Anyone have experience with the "Hydro Bubble" anchor? I am "thinking" about purchasing one, but would like some real feedback first. I currently use a Fortress X16 on my 340 with good results, but would like to consider other types / options. Thanks, Gerald

Gerald I don't know about the Hydro Bubble

But I have H36 and use a delta (?22lbs)at the islands all the time and love it. It resets and also works well if you have have grass on the bottom. I used to use a Fortress for the stern untill a couple of times it came loose (they don't reset). Now I have one size smaller delta for the stern. I also switched to 275ft of chain. Getting ready to go to San Miguel and Santa Rosa islands during the summer...very windy and I know this will hold well.

Real sailors don't need a Hydrobubble....

that said, it looks like a concept that will work better than a regular delta. Yet I think a delta will do the job just fine...and if it doesn't set the first time, do it again. The Hydrobubble will either be an interesting topic of conversation on your docs...either look of amazement and ahhh, or ? laughter.
