What boat ?
You might check the archives about pointing with a winged keel. Seems we discussed that a winged keel doesn't point as high as the fin keel but is faster VMG. I'm sure it depends on the boat. We sail a 29.5 with a 150 in various winds. In winds over 20mph I think I loose some pointing ability, but make up some speed off wind. (not scientific, just opinion)
