I am looking to bring my recently purchased H34 in compliance with discharge regs. The previous owner used the holding tank as an additional freshwater tank (ugh!). I was going to have all of the head waste go into the holding tank. Then add a "y-valve" with one outlet to the deck pump-out, and the other to a macerator pump, through an anti-siphon/venting loop, and then through the below water line thru-hull for 3 mile plus discharge. The macerator pump, Johnson, claims it will pump the 20 gallon tank overboard in about 2 1/2 minutes. Do I need an additional discharge pump? Any problems with the design as I've described. Thanks for any input.
