Maine Sail,

I am curious what sealant if any you use when assembling your Hi-mod fittings? I have seen several "movies" online with Norseman or Staylok fitting that clearly show silicone or some other sealant being injected in the fitting before final assembly. But none of the videos, including from the manufacturer's website show sealant being injected in the Hi-Mod fittings.

Hi-Mods do not require a sealant but you can seal them if it makes you sleep better. Just use a polysulfide or other non-acidic sealant. Always use a thread lube or they can gall and then your really screwed.....
