I have a 1983 S2 9.2A which I like very much. I have only one season under my belt and am looking for a few improvements in general sailing/pointing/reefing etc.

Has anyone installed a Genoa sheet track inside of the rail to accommodate an adjustable location for the sheet block instiead of on the toe rail?

If so - has there been any noticeable benefits.

No, but...

...I have thought about it. To be frank, I am adverse to bolting a track to the deck. I thought about trying to mount a track to my toe rail, but am not sure what is out there. Another and more flexible option (either way you are getting up to move the cars on the track or move the snatch block might be to run two blocks per side.

I wouldn't need a second pair of winches on my 9.2A as I am sure I can handle it without it. Half the time I don't use my primaries when I tack. Perhaps just for some final tweaking of trim under load, but that's about all.

However, it would be a pain when you tack. Two lines to deal with instead of one.
