In a typical set-up for a 9.2A with a 150% Genoa (stock s2 sail) where along the toe rail should this block be positioned say.....relative to the aft end of the toe-rail for optimum performance?

You want that point to pull evenly along the leech and foot of the sail. So, if you see some wrinkles radiating along the leech, move the blocks forward.
Conversely, wrinkles along the foot, move them back.

JSG is right that you want the sheet to pull evenly on the foot and the leech. The typical way to determine that setting is to watch the telltails on the jib. Ease and trim the jib, watching the ticks. Conventional wisdom says all telltails (top-middle-bottom) should break at about the same time. If top breaks first, move block forward - that will tension the leech more, and give the sail more curl, thus letting the bottom tick break sooner.. If the bottom breaks first, move the block back - that will tension the foot of the sail more than the luff, allowing the top to break sooner.

Move block forward or back by one or two slots on the toe rail. Then check it again. ease and trim. watch the ticks. It's a game of inches usually..

Excellent description of how to use your tell-tales, Bron. Thanks.

I would think a line perpendicular with the luff extending thru the sheet grommet on to the deck would be a place to call middle of a track and move block forward from there to power up the top of the sail and back from there to depower the top of the sail.
