Genasun gv-10 question

So I purchased a Genasun Gv-10 at a good price to go with my 100 watt solar panel that I am installing this year.

So according to the instructions, it comes factory set for a sealed lead acid battery. It mentions Gel Cells and a few other things.

If you have a flooded battery you need to install a small jumper that comes with it.

I have Duracell GC2 6V batteries in my boat. http://www.samsclub.com/sams/duracell-golf-car-battery-group-size-gc2/prod3590228.ip
This means that I need to install the small jumper, correct?
