I've have enjoyed my 84Hunter34 since 2008 with no problems...until now. My engine is a 3GMF, I'm trying to obtain and replace the following item: a braided fuel line between the primary and secondary fuel pumps, about 8 to 10 inches long. A leak has developed at the compressed fitting of the braided line to the steel tubing. A very unlikely place and very cramped spot. i did manage to stop the leak for approx. 3 hours, we had to motor coming back from vacation, with rescue tape, and could only speak well of this tape. However the leak returned as it is very difficult to manipulate the tape around the the line and fitting and get a proper seal.
Also another boater did help me with other another type of tape that helped as well.
Boaters are such a helpful bunch :).
From this moment on, i will be carrying additional tape to assist another boater....
Any help with identifying the part number so i can get the replacement would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks, Yvan

Unless there's something unique about the Yanmar fuel hose, you should be able to buy the right sized Type A fuel hose from any reputable chandlery and install it with hose clamps.

I believe that you are referring to one of the high pressure hoses. You should be able to purchase it from any Yanmar dealer/distributor in your area.

Like Stu mentioned if it is regular hose you can get it from any marine dealer. Be sure that you get marine diesel hose with the proper rating.

Take the hose to any shop that fabricates same type of braided hoses and get one made. It is not a high pressure hose but any shop that makes hydraulic hoses for cars or trucks can make one. I did that for my 3GMD 1981 Yanmar. BTW I also install a bulb between the racor filter and the primary fuel pump. I can bleed the low pressure side much faster this way. Only need to open the bleeder on the low pressure side of the injection pump.
