Olivier Leger described very well the same fuel gauge that is on our
boat. I got tired of fiddling with that wire to make it float up
instead of sticking. Drilled a hole in top of tank to take a thick
coarse-threaded bolt. Keep a thin stick handy, open up the hole,
push stick to bottom of tank, and note the wet mark. High technology.

For mail outside U.S., Sid used scotch tape around parts of the edges
of newsletters. Maybe cheaper or easier?
