Frayed line ends

You guys probably beat me to this revelation...
.but i came on the idea of using electrical heat shrink tubing to seal off the ends of my lines and keep them from fraying. Works like a charm.

Yep, works all the time. You can also use a hot knife that will seal as it cuts. But the heat shrink is a good idea since you can get them in three or four colors.

Good shortcut expecially on polyester and nylon but not as good as traditional whipping using a needle and waxed thread.

That's new for me. I don't really like the dip stuff - takes too long to dry and needs multiple coats. Electric tape looks un bristol. I've done hundreds maybe thousands of whips with twine and all eventually fail. I know - I did them wrong but that's my experience. The tubing idea seems simple and effective.
