I have a 22 MKII with frameless fixed portlights. One has a leak. Any instructions for removing? Prefer not to break them so I can reuse, just re-bed to stop leak.
I replaced mine a few years ago. If I recall correctly my 1987 port lights were bedded in black silicone. I took a single edge razor and sliced the sealant from the cabin side. They pushed right out.
Yeah, the screws are factory. But you can replace the windows without using screws, using a combination of 3M VHB 4991 adhesive tape and Dow Corning 795 silicone. I used this method on our Albin Vega (scroll down to "surface mounting").
The #1 thing about this job is the masking. DC 795 is yucky stuff.
