Forward hatch hinges broken on Hunter P 42

My 1997 Hunter 42 forward hatch hinges (3) broke recently. They appear to be plastic hinge pins. It is a Bomar hatch. Has anyone had this happen? I am considering drilling out the hinge pins and replacing them with stainless bolts. Has anyone tried that? Has anyone replaced the entire forward hatch? How awful was that?

Thanks.

Below is the deck view of the hinges on the rear of the front hatch:

If, after talking with Bomar, you decide to fix them yourself,
you might consider stainless steel roll pins in stead of plastic replacement pins.

Ours have never broken. They appear to be aluminum components. No suggestions here.

I'm sure you can find replacement stock that you can cut to fit through McMaster-Carr. This link is to just an example. There may be better choices. McMaster-Carr
