Does Morgan 22 Exist?

I am considering purchasing a boat in the Tallahassee area that the owner is calling a "Morgan 22" -- but I cannot find any reference to a Morgan 22 on the web and the owner has no manuals or other paperwork on the craft. So, was there ever such a boat at a "Morgan 22" or is this a Catalina or Capri with a confused owner? If there is such a thing as a Morgan 22, does anyone know where I could find some specifications and other information about it?

Morgan 22

James, I learned to race on a 1969 Morgan 22 owned by a guy named George Alston in Jacksonville, FL. These a fast, well built boats and he won just abouth everything he entered, including the annual sailing award for most wins/points in a year. It is sort of a boxy version of a Catalina 22, but it will blow the doors off most anything near its class. These are great boats, stiff sailing and will probably outlast us all. Good Luck
