We will be circling Delmarva starting a week from yesterday. I'd love to hear from people with experience with this journey and specifically several ports. I'd be interested in people that know Lewes. Yes I know many people go to Cape May but I have been there many times in the last few years so a change is in order. Is there diesel available.

Understand the issues at OC but any help on it an Chincoteage would be appreciated. Also interested in Tangier and or Smith Island once we return to the bay.

If you have a smart phone or Android tablet, the free Active Captain app is great for this sort of thing and also for local info and reviews on marinas, mooring areas, waterside restaurants, etc. Or, you can just check it out on a laptop: https://activecaptain.com/. Frankly, I can't believe it's free.

OC and Chincoteage can be negotiated given local knowledge. Get on the radio once there and ask for where the channel is today. Chincoteage will be problematical as there are not many folks down that way.

In OC, MD, Sunset Mairna is a great place to go. Our CB2 (Beneteau) club went there on our DMV trip. It was new about 5 years ago. It may not be on your charts or chart plotter (it wasn't on either of ours), but striaght in the channel, on the far shore you'll see the opening to it. It was made, then floded to fill the marina. Restuarant, laundry, a short walk to a shuttle bus. We thought the entry channel problems over rated, but YMMV.
