Footloose is a 85' 960 in need of new Cutlass Bearing. I have no information how it is attached to the stern tube for removal. I have emailed Bavaria and they have not maintained specs for this and say there "should" be set screws thru the tube from the outside of the hull. The bearing is burried in the glass and I do not know if there are any other fasteners to look for. Has anyone replaced a Cutlass in a Heritage series boat or know of a 960 owner to discuss?

Thanks to all and have a Great Season,

Tom,Have 35E 1999, with cutlass shaft which developed leak through the lump of glass inside the hull. Found out that the cutlass shaft is buried in to this 'lump' and only way is to grind it out. Too dusty a job for me so plan B . Cut off shaft fin at hull glassed over area built a new cutlass fin using 306ss on an 8" x 6" plate with 4 through bolts. This solved the 'elusive' leak and made the shaft run viberation free.
